Your Life are Like Roses In the Pots

Flowers are a great addition to any garden, and/or room's decor. The add color, fragrance, and elegance in what might be otherwise, dingy spaces. Nothing can offer quite as much as a great floral arrangement, especially if those flowers are roses.

Lets assume that we guys are going to plant a rose plant in a pot. Now the question comes how many of know that what all is needed for a plant to grow?
Good you said right! So a plant needs proper lighting and watering, pots and fertilizing.
Same way is our spiritual life, our life is like a rose plant and it need to grow right. So let me tell you what does this all mean:-

1.Lighting for the plant : Light means the presense of Holy Spirit in our life. We should recieve the power of the Holy Spirit which is like a light to rose plant, so that we all may become light. Matt 5:14

2.Watering Plants: A rose plant also needs water daily in order to grow, same way our spiritual life also needs water to grow. The Word Of God is the water in our life. Ps 1:2

3.Pots and Containers: The third thing a rose plant needs is a pot or a container to be planted, same we are also planted in Jesus Christ who lays himself as a foundation of our faith. John 15:1

4.Fertilizing: The last thing that needed for this rose plant is a fertilizer, this means we a prayer life, when ever a rose plant is attacked by the insects and bees and worms, it cry's out to God to save them, same way we too need to pray in times of danger.

So, did you enjoyed planting a rose plant with us. Roses have always been a symbol of peace, love, friendship, and even death to all who see them. For centuries, roses have come to characterize great taste and eternity during events such as weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays.

So shine and smile and let your fragnance fill the garden of heavens with love, which is your own life.
God Bless you!

What is the Trinity

What is the Trinity?
In a nutshell, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. The three persons of the Godhead are coequal and co-eternal (Genesis 1:26, Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19, Luke 1:35, Hebrews 3:7-11, and 1 John 5:7).

Example to Understand Trinity Of God.
1. A book has length, width, and thickness. The length is not the book’s width, the width is not the book’s thickness. These three dimensions can be described separately, yet they are connected together. If you remove one dimension, you are no longer describing a book. In the same way, the Godhead has three separate members that are connected together, and if you try to remove one you no longer have the Godhead.

2.The egg fails in that the shell, white and yoke are parts of the egg, not the egg in themselves. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are not parts of God, each of them is God.

3.The water illustration is somewhat better, but still fails to adequately describe the Trinity. Liquid, vapor and ice are forms of water. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are not forms of God, each of them is God. So, while these illustrations may give us a picture of the Trinity, the picture is not entirely accurate or complete. An infinite God cannot be fully described by a finite illustration.

Here are the basics of the doctrine of the Trinity:
1. In the one divine nature, there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
2. No one of the persons is either of the others, each is wholly himself.
3. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God.
4. They are not three Gods but one God.

So, Kids next time don't get confuse with questions like who is Jesus, Who is Father and then Who is the Holy Spirit? They are not three Gods but one God. So as we learnt yesturday about how to pray, like wise pray always to your Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus and with the help of Holy Spirit. Amen

Come Let Us Learn How To Pray

Hello! Kids don't we know that we all pray daily before going to bed, eat and before going to school. But today i ask you guys, do any of know how to pray?
WOW! I believe all of us know how to pray, but let see how Jesus Christ wants to teach us how to pray through his Word that is the Bible.

Matt 6:6-8 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

1. Pray in your room were there is no disturbance by others.

2. Pray to your heavenly father simply refering him as father or Daddy.

3.Do your prayer's in secret, like our parents does for all of us without our knowlege.

4.Ask whatever you want from God.

5.Do not babble like pagans means, please do not repeat the same thing again and again.

6.Sometimes your heavenly father gives answer to your prayer's
immediately, but sometime it gets delay, the delay does't means that he has not heard your prayer, but in his time he will give you. For example if you ask God to give a Car, and you are now only 10yrs old, he knows that you don't have a license so now you have to wait to get a car until the age of 18yrs.

7.Conclude all prayers in the name of Jesus.

8.Amen.

Peter Walks On Water

The disciples had a long tiring day and Jesus sent them out in the boat to go over to another town. It was a dark stormy night and the wind was tossing the waves around. In the middle of the night, they thought they were seeing a ghost when Jesus came to them walking on the sea! Jesus saw they were scared and told them not to be afraid. When they were the most afraid, he told them to cheer up, he was with them! God has to take the storm out of us before He can take us out of the storms of life.

Peter must have wondered if it really was Jesus or just their imagination. He asked Jesus to tell him to come out on the water with him if this was really happening. Jesus didn't say, "I'm sorry, Peter, but water-walking is for Messiahs only." No, he said one simple word: Come. God calls us to do impossible things by faith. It must have taken a lot of faith by Peter to take that first step out of the boat in the middle of the wind and waves. When he did, Peter walked on water!

The Bible says, And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. – (Matthew 14:29,30)

Peter was doing fine until he took his eyes off Jesus. As long as he had faith, he did impossible things to do without God's help. He kept his eyes on Jesus and walked on water. When he looked around at the world, he started believing that the storm was going to defeat him. He lost faith. He took his eyes off Jesus, and he began to sink. If we forget that Jesus is right there to help us, we can let the storms of life cause us to sink. If we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can do mighty things for God by faith.

Then Peter uttered what is probably the shortest prayer in the Bible: Lord, save me. We ALL need Jesus to save us. He is our only hope. Jesus told Peter he should not have doubted. In the same way whenever we have a problem in our lives we should pray to Jesus to help us and never doubt him. For God is more than able to meet all our needs.

A Hug From God

Text: John 14:15-21; John 15:12
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. - John 3:16

Summary: We show our love to God by obeying him. The Holy Spirit lives in and helps believers. Your parents love you very much. How do they show their love to you? They may tell you "I love you" or "I'm proud of you." They may give you a kiss on the cheek or a big hug. I like hugs myself. It makes me feel warm and good all over. God loves you too! He loves you so much he sent his Son, Jesus, into the world. God wants us to love him and each other. But how can we show God that we love him? Jesus tells us how in the Bible.

Jesus says if you love him, you will keep his commandments. One of the ways you show that you love God is to obey your parents. (Eph 6:1), Another way we show our love to God is by loving each other. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. - John 15:12

The Holy Spirit is God's way of hugging us. I like a hug from God! He is our best friend. He teaches us about Jesus (John 15:26). He helps us pray (Romans 8:26). He teaches us what is right. He will never leave us. And the Holy Spirit in us is proof that we are children of God (Romans 8:16).

Let's pray right now. Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me. I love you and want to obey you. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to help me. Amen.
I hope you will remember the hug from God and go back and tell your parents that you love them and give them a great big hug!

The Parable of the Two Sons

The Parable of the Two Sons

Matt 21:28-31 "What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work today in the vineyard.' " 'I will not,' he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. "Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, 'I will, sir,' but he did not go.

"Which of the two did what his father wanted?" "The first," they answered.
The bottom line is: “you can’t talk the talk if you don’t walk the walk.”

Kids i hope you also choose the first as the answered, isn't it true so many times we also tell our parents that yes Mom & Daddy, i'll do as you say, but actually once we go to school we forget all the instruction and become like the second Son. Remember one thing when we obey our parents and elders we please them with Obedience and they become so happy that they even give the most precious gift which you desire the most.

Same way even though sometimes we don't like to do certain things what your father tells, but please do it that's the father's will be done and you will blessed more. Likewise the heavenly father looks down and see which of you do the father's will like the First one by reading the bible and bibleclub portions everyday.

So let's talk the talk and Walk the Walk with the Words of Christ.

THE COCK AND THE JEWEL

Gen 25:31-34 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

A Cock was busily scratching and scraping about to find something to eat for himself and his family, when he happened to turn up a precious jewel that had been lost by its owner. "Aha!" said the Cock. "No doubt you are very costly and he who lost you would give a great deal to find you. But as for me, I would choose a single grain of barleycorn before all the jewels in the world." Precious things are without value to those who cannot prize them.

The birthright or precious jewel that is in our lives is Christ Jesus who paid a heavy price to save us on the cross. So my dearest children never be foolish like Esau who gave up his birthright or like the Cock in the story who gave up the precious jewel. Because neither one of them knew the value of what they had. Christ Jesus who is our Precious Jewel. Make sure that you never trade or give up Christ Jesus for anything.

Sing with me the song I HAVE DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS, NO TURNING BACK, NO TURNING BACK.

The Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

Reading For The Day – Matthew 7:15-23

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

Some people are like wolves that pretend to be sheep. They act and dress like the sheep, only to destroy the lambs once they are among them. A Wolf found it very hard to get inside a sheep house because of the watchfulness of the shepherd and his dogs. But one day it found the skin of a sheep that had been flayed and thrown aside, so it put it on over its own pelt and strolled down among the sheep. The Lamb that belonged to the sheep whose skin the Wolf was wearing began to follow the Wolf in the Sheep's clothing. So, leading the Lamb a little apart, he soon made a meal off her - and for some time he succeeded in deceiving the sheep, and enjoying hearty meals. Appearances are deceptive. (Aesop)

Jesus said that we can figure out which sheep are true sheep, and which are wolves. He said we'll know, because even if a wolf is dressed like a sheep, it acts like a wolf. A wolf can't baaa like a sheep, it can't chew cud like a sheep, it can't eat grass, or even smell like a sheep. Jesus said that a wolf can try to look like a sheep, but you can tell it apart by its actions.

Jesus also compared people like this to trees. If a tree has apples on it, what kind of tree is it? An apple tree! Will an apple tree ever grow pears? No - that's what a pear tree is for. Jesus said our actions are like fruit. If a man lies, he is a liar, no matter how often he says he isn't. A man can say he is a Christian, but if he doesn't act like a Christian, then you know he is false.

• Someone who cheats on a test. (wolf)
• Someone who is polite to everyone. (sheep)
• Someone who is only polite to people she wants to impress. (wolf)
• Someone who admits when he is wrong. (sheep)
• Someone who is difficult to upset. (sheep)
• Someone who blames others for her mistakes. (wolf)
• Someone who exaggerates. (wolf)

Discuss these questions with your parents or your Sunday school teachers.

1. Are we supposed to be on the look out for those that would deceive us?
2. How do we protect ourselves from evil people?
3. How can we tell if someone believes in Jesus?

A Puzzle

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thine soul, and with all thy might. - Deuteronomy 6:4,5

Text: Colossians 2:10
Summary: It takes Jesus in your heart to make you a complete person.

Look at this puzzle. In a way you are like this puzzle. You are made of many parts or pieces. God gave you a soul (or spirit) which is what makes you alive. God gave you a mind so you can tell right from wrong. God gave you bones and muscles so you can be strong. He gave you feelings so you can be happy or sad. But something is missing.

God left an empty space inside you that only Jesus can fill. The Bible tells you to love God with all thine heart. (Refer to Deuteronomy 6:4,5) It is not speaking about the organ that pumps blood around your body. It is speaking about every bit of who you are, your entire person. It means you should love God with all that you are. The Bible also tells you where to find the missing piece.

The Bible says in Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. That means it takes Jesus to make you a complete person.

The Bible says that Jesus is the missing piece, the Answer to the puzzle. If you ask Jesus to come into your heart he sends the Holy Spirit inside you to make you a complete person. That simple faith in Jesus is all it takes to make you a child of God. I want to give each of you a reminder of the missing piece: Jesus in your heart!

The Unequal Yoke

Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:14-16

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

A yoke is a wooden frame or bar with loops at either end, fitted around the necks of two animals, which tied them together and forced them to function as one. "Do not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together" (Deuteronomy 22:10). That may seem strange to us, but God was concerned that the Israelites not tie together two animals of a different nature.

I have never seen an ox and an ass yoked together, though once when I was traveling in the Middle East I saw a farmer plowing his field with a camel and a donkey. It was almost ludicrous to watch. The camel was three times the height of the donkey, and its legs were three times as long. It was striding along at a rather slow pace for a camel, but the little donkey was running as fast as it could to keep up. The farmer kept beating the donkey all the time, trying to get it to keep up. It was cruel.

The great unanswered question is, "What is a yoke?" Is being friends with kids who bulley other kids a yoke? Is being friends with kids who use bad language a yoke? Is being friends with disobedient children a yoke? Yes, but not all friendships are yokes, saying hi to someone, or being kind and polite to them is not a yoke. But yokes have two characteristics by which we can always identify them.

1. A yoke is not easily broken. It is a kind of permanent relationship. When you yoke two animals together they are bound together; they do not have any choice.

2. It does not permit independent action. There is something that forces you to comply with what the other one wants to do, whether you like it or not.

Any kind of relationship that does not permit a child of God to follow his or her Lord in all things is a yoke. If it is the kind of possessive friendship in which you feel you cannot do what God wants you to do and you disobey your parents and elders because you will offend your friend, then that is a yoke, and it must be broken.

Running God's Race

Text: Hebrews 12:1,2
Summary: A marathon runner is used to demonstrate living for God.
Running is a fun sport. It is good exercise and helps me stay in shape. There are some important things to know if you are going to run a marathon. A marathon is a very long race of 42.2 kilometers [26.2 miles]. You have to pace yourself. You just can't run at full speed or you will give out before you can finish the race. Another thing is that you can't take along much or it will slow you down.

The Bible speaks of running a race in the Book of Hebrews.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of God. - Hebrews 12:1,2

That is what it means to run God's race. We have to look to the example our Lord Jesus gave us. We can't just do it on our own. If we hold on to our old ways and habits of being a bad person (sin), then we will not be able to finish the race. It will slow us down. If we rely on the Lord Jesus, he will forgive us and we can put aside our sin. Then we can run at a steady pace, living a godly life. Just as a runner keeps his mind on the finish line, we can keep our eyes on Jesus as we go through our life here on earth.

Well, I have to be going now. Next time you put on a pair of running shoes, stop and ask yourself: Am I running my own race, or am I running God's race?

Follow Me

Text: Luke 5:27-28
Summary: Jesus calls us to follow him.
How many of you have ever played "Simon Says?" [Show of hands.] Let's try it. [Test them to see if they follow directions.] Today I want to talk to you about what it means to follow Jesus.

One day Jesus saw a tax collector named Matthew also know as Levi while he was working. Collecting taxes was not a fun job because nobody liked the person who made you pay taxes. Some tax collectors were crooked and took up more tax than they were supposed to take and they spent this extra money on themselves. Jesus didn't look at Levi for the job he held, or what other people thought about him, he looked at his heart and told him Follow me.

What happened next is one of the most amazing things recorded in the Bible. And he left all, rose up, and followed him. The Bible says that Levi walked off the job, leaving the money behind. He completely left his old way of life and started to follow Jesus immediately. He didn't want to continue living in sin, doing bad things. He decided right then and there to leave his old ways behind him and start a new life. When someone turns away from doing bad things, we call that repentance. When a person does what God says to do, we call that obedience. Levi did both.

Just as Levi followed Jesus, we are called to follow Jesus also. Jesus knows that we all have sinned and need to repent of our sins. He wants to give us a chance to turn away from doing bad things, and start doing good things. He has given us an example in the Bible of how to live as he lived, without ever doing anything wrong. Does that mean we will be perfect? No, it only means that is what we should try to do.

Just as it's hard to play "Simon Says" and not make any mistakes, it's hard to live a perfect life without making mistakes. God knows we will make mistakes, but he wants us to ask Jesus to forgive us when we sin and do bad things. Then we can be closer to God and be followers of Jesus.

The Apple of Your Eye

Portion for Reading: "Keep me as the apple of your eye..." Psalm 17:8

The apple of an eye refers to the pupil of the eye. A very delicate part of the body that is essential for vision and requires protection. When the eye is threatened, one will both close the eyelid and raise their hand in protection of that eye. Another aspect of the pupil is that when we view someone with our eyes, that person is inscribed within our brains. Likewise, Psalm 17:8 tells us, that we have been indelibly inscribed on God¹s mind and he will keep us there, for He views us as the apple of His eye. His love for us is never ending, it is impossible for Him to forget his children for we are inscribed on His mind.

What a blessed thought this is! He will protect us as they very apple of His eye. Zechariah 2:8 says "whoever touched you touches the apple of my eye..." it goes on to tell of His defense of us and how we are safe from our enemies because of His protection. God values us as a most precious part of himself and He will guard and protect us as such.

Father, thank you for keeping me as the apple of your eye. Thank you for the assurance that you will never forget me, you will never let me down, you will never cease to protect me. Thank you, Lord, for your unending love and care. Amen

Telephone to Jesus

Theme: Prayer

Scripture: And God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven. 2 Chronicles 30:27

Everywhere I go these days, I see people talking on the phone. I see people driving down the street talking on the phone. I see people shopping in stores talking on the phone. I was watching a baseball game on TV the other day and every time they put the camera on the fans, I would see people talking on the phone.

Prayer is like that. No matter where we are or what we are doing, we can always talk to God. While driving down the street, shopping in a store, or at a baseball game....no matter where we are, we can talk to God.

Dear Lord, thank you for the privilege of prayer. Help us to remember that you are always there when we need to talk to you. Amen.

Angels Watching Over Me

Text: Matthew 18:10; Psalm 91:11; Hebrews 1:14

Summary: Angels protect all children of God.
Jesus loves children. He loves you. Jesus loves you so much that he has a plan for your life. He wants you to grow to love Him and learn more about God. He sends his angels to protect every person that will one day accept Jesus as their Savior. Think about that for a moment. That means that for every person sitting here in church, their guardian angel is hovering over the pews or sitting on the roof! I know what you may be thinking. If you can't see them, how do you know they are here? Because the Bible tells us so.

Angels are spirits and can only be seen if God chooses to let us see them. Angels of God appeared to many people in many different stories in the Bible. [Read Matthew 18:10] Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus was telling grown-ups that we should never think we are better than children, or do anything to mislead or harm you, because your angels are close to God. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. (Psalm 91:11) God has a guardian angel to protect you from harm. I suppose many of the grown-ups here today could share a story about how God has protected them over the years. God sends these angels to protect us from danger. In another verse in the Bible we see that everyone who will be saved has an angel to protect them. [Read Hebrews 1:14]

We can give thanks to God for his protection by angels. We never worship angels. We worship Jesus (God). Jesus will protect us and use His angels to protect us from harm because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

SET YOUR MINDS

Portion for Reading Colossians 3:1-4
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things"

John Jacob Astor, one of the world's richest men, was a passenger on the ill-fated maiden voyage of the Titanic. When the ship hit the iceberg and it turned out that there was a shortage of lifeboats, the multimillionaire gave up his chance for safety and went down with the ship. His body was eventually found dressed in a blue suit, with $2,500 in his pocket. But on that fateful night, as he faced eternity, it mattered little what he possessed.

What keeps you up at night? Worry over your stocks and bonds, or agonizing over the souls of those who are lost? What are you striving for? Material wealth that will one day be left behind, or a spiritual wealth that will last for eternity? Make the right choice and then set the right priorities.

Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matt 6:31-34
So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Stop ILLegal Parkings

Reading From 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (below)
Hey guys! Let me ask you all a question? How will you react if someone came and parked their car in your parking space or driveway of your house, without your permission?

I believe you would get angry or even call the cops, so that they can come and move the car that is parked illegally in you driveway. In the same way our lives are the driveway and only God has the right to park on it. The illegal parking in our lives is the sins and the nasty things that the devil brings into our lives. We should overcome them by inviting the Holy Spirit in to our life, so that he can remove all the illegal parking of the devil.

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

Our body is Gods temple and the Holy Spirit dwells in it. Never allow the devil park illegally in body by giving your bodies to nasty things. Stop Illegal parking!

HIDE AND SEEK

Reading : Psalm 139:7-10

One day, Chuckles the Woodchuck was sitting on his favorite chair. He was thinking. In fact, he was thinking really hard. He was wondering what God looked like, and wondering where God was. So, he began talking out loud, "God, where are you? Do you think I could see what you look like?." No answer. After thinking some more, Chuckles had an idea. He decided he would play Hide-N-Seek with God. He thought he just might have a chance to see God if God would come to find him when he went to hide. Then he could see God. Oh, here...I'll just hide inside Cuddle-Puppy's dog house. (Cuddle-Puppy was the puppy who lived next door.) Chuckles pushed his way inside the tiny dog-door. What a great place to hide! Crouching down real low, Chuckles called out, "OK, God, count to 10... Then see if you can find me. Just then, he heard someone stomping around outside. Chuckle’s was excited! Could it be God? Chuckles peeked out of the window. Oh, it was only Cuddle-Puppy. Oh, Hi Chuckles! Said Cuddle-Puppy, What are you doing in my dog house? And why do you look so disappointed to see me?"

"Well" Chuckles explained, "I'm happy to see you...its just that....I was hoping to see God. I want to see what he looks like. You see, I'm in your house because I'm playing Hide-N-Seek with God, hoping he would come and find me. This is my hiding place," said Chuckles. Cuddle-Puppy giggled, "Hee Hee....No, silly", Cuddle-Puppy said, "You can't hide from God. You see, God made the whole world and everything in it. He even made you and me. He sees you where ever you are. He sees you when you're flying high above in an airplane. He sees you when you are way down deep in the ocean. He even sees you when you try to hide where ever you try to hide he still sees you. You can't hide from God."

"Oh...I see....well....can't I at least get a little peek at what God looks like?", asked Chuckles. "We can't see God either", replied Cuddle-Puppy. "But, even though you can't see him, he is still there. Just like when the wind blows. You can't see the wind, but you know it is there. And, just like the moon and stars -- during the day you can't see them, but we know they are there", Cuddle-Puppy explained. "Oh, I see", said Chuckles, "So, God was there all along, watching me try to hide from him? Even though I couldn't see Him, he could see me?" "Yeah, said Cuddle-Puppy, "You were probably making him smile. But, you know what? Even though we can't see God, we can still talk to him, and He always hears us. Even if its not out loud - even if we're just thinking a prayer! Isn't that wonderful! He even knows what we are thinking. So, we can just think a prayer to him, and he hears us. We can also say a prayer out loud. He hears that too." said Cuddle-Puppy.

"Cool! said Chuckles, that's really great. Now I can talk to God whenever I want, and I know that he hears me.

Got Faith?

Reading Passage: Hebrews 11:1
What is faith? It is the confident assurance that God's Word is true, and what God promises to do, He will do. These are a few of the men and women who, in times past, had faith in God.

Abel
By faith Abel obeyed God and brought the sort of offering God was pleased with.

Enoch
Enoch trusted God too. And God protected Him from danger.

Noah
Noah trusted God enough to build an ark even though those around him didn't believe there would be a flood and made fun of Noah and his family.

Abraham
Abraham trusted God. When God told Abraham to leave his home and go to a strange country Abraham obeyed.

Sarah
Sarah too had faith, and in spite of her old age, was able to give birth to a son. She knew God was able to do what He had promised. So from Abraham and Sarah grew a whole nation of people.

Issac
By faith Abraham's son Issac knew God would give future blessings to his two sons, Jacob and Esau.

Jacob
By faith Jacob blessed his grandsons, knowing that God would fulfill his promises to them.

Joseph
It was by faith that Joseph as an old man knew that God would bring the people of Israel out of Egypt - he even made them promise that when they left they would carry his bones with them.

Moses' Mother and Father
Moses' parents had faith too. When they saw that God had given them a special child they trusted God to save him from death and hid him for three months, and weren't afraid.

Moses
It was by faith that Moses, when he became a man, refused to be treated like the grandson of the king, but choose to share the ill-treatment with God's people instead. Moses was looking forward to the reward God would give him and because he trusted God he wasn't afraid of the king's anger. Moses believed God would take care of His people. By faith Moses lead the people of Israel through the Red Sea.

Rahab
By faith Rahab did not die with the others in her city when they refused to obey God.

It would take too long to tell the stories of ALL the others, but you can look a few up in the bible and read their stories for yourself. (Gideon, Barak,Samson,Esther, David, Samuel,Daniel, Joshua, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego)

These people all trusted God and as a result they won battles, overthrew kingdoms, ruled people well, and received what God had promised them; they were kept from harm in a den of lions, and in a fiery furnace. Some, through their faith escaped death by the sword. Some were made strong again after they had been weak or sick. Others were given great power in battle; they made whole armies turn and run away. And some women, through faith, received their loved ones back from death.

And there were others who were badly treated because they believed in God. These people were willing to die for what they believed, knowing that God would raise them back up to life and give them a great reward for their faith. These people were too good for this world. They didn't receive God's promise in this present age, but God will give them great honor and reward when He returns. For God wanted them to wait and share their reward with us.

Activity For The Day - TRY AND FIND ME

In the twinkling of an eye

Reading portion Mathew 13: 24-30

Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

One day I was walking from the parking lot to the office, it was a day after a heavy snow. The day was bright and beautiful and the sun was shining bright. While I was entering the office building towards the corner I saw a huge pile of snow moved by the snow trucks. When I carefully looked at the piled up snow I saw pieces of metal stones mixed with it. Suddenly, a question came into my mind, how can we separate these stones from the snow? I thought for a little while and said to myself that it cannot be done because the snow piled up was so huge that it was hard for anyone to separate the stones from the snow. So I just went into the building and into the office for work. But to my surprise when I came outside to go home in the evening I saw that the snow has melted away because of the bright sun and the stones where laying there on the ground.

Moral of the story is this that in same way one day we who are the children of God will leave this world by transforming into the glories body as it is written; After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever (1 Thessalonians 4:17). And those who don’t believe in Jesus Christ will remain back in this earth like the stones for the day of judgment and just like the weeds will be tied up and thrown into the fire (Matthew 13: 30).

JOHN. F KENNEDY

Portion For Reading Eph 2:10
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

WHEN JOHN. F KENNEDY WAS INAGURATED AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATESIN THE YEAR OF 1961 HE MADE A FAMOUS QUOTATION THAT STILL SITS WITHAMERICANS TILL THIS VERY DAY :

“Ask not what your country can do for you,but what you can do for your country.”

WHEN WE AS CHRISTIANS LIVE IN THIS WORLD WE COME TO THE REALIZATION THAT GODHAS TO DO EVERYTHING FOR US. WHICH MAY BE TRUE IN SOME SITUATIONS. HOWEVERWE NEED TO ASK OURSELVES WHAT HAVE WE DONE FOR GOD LATELY.WE TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED AND FEEL THAT THINGS NEED TO ALWAYS BE GIVEN TOUS. WE NEED TO STOP THINKING MAINLY ABOUT OURSELVES AND START THINKING ABOUTWHAT GOD MIGHT WANT.

ASK YOURSELF HOW MANY THINGS HAS JESUS CHRIST DONE FORYOU? WITHOUT EVEN THINKING PROPERLY YOU MIGHT SAY HUNDREDS OF THINGS THAT JESUS DID FOR YOU. HOWEVER WE NEED TO REVERSE THE QUESTION AND ASK HOW MANYTHINGS HAVE WE DONE FOR CHRIST. SADLY YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO THINK OFFIVE TO TEN THINGS THAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR CHRIST.WHAT WE REALLY NEED TO DO IS CHANGE THE FAMOUS QUOTATION OF JFKS AND MAKEIT INTO THIS :

“Ask not what God can do for youBut what you can do for God.”

YES MY SIBLING IN CHRIST TAKE A DECISION FROM THIS DAY ONWARDS THAT I WILLAT LEAST DO ONE THING WHETHER ITS BIG OR SMALL FOR JESUS CHRIST.GOD BLESS YOU!

BE HAPPY

To Remember: Jesus wants us to be happy

Vocabulary

Blessed: happy, shown favor
Parables: earthly stories to teach a spiritual lesson Lesson - Read Matt 5:1-12

Jesus spent a lot of his time on earth teaching. He often drew large crowds of people who were amazed by the things he said. Perhaps the most famous record we have of this is called the Sermon on the Mount. The beginning of Matthew 5 is called the Beatitudes. It lists the type of person who is happy. Let’s read it.

Passage Of The Day - Matthew 5:1-12

Jesus taught that we can all develop these attitudes. Some people today say they can’t help how they act, but that’s not true. We all have control over what we say, think, and do. Jesus knows what will make us happy, or blessed, because He made us. In this lesson he taught that we would be happy if we are meek (obedient), peaceful (not arguing a lot), pure (not dirtied by sin), merciful (forgiving and generous), interested in truth. He also taught that even if we suffered or were sad for His sake, He would reward His people, and comfort them.

The Foolish Monkey

There are many types of monkey which can be captured with nothing more than a clear glass jar and a bananna. The clear jar contains an opening just large enough for the open hand of the monkey to pass through. The bananna is placed inside the glass jar and then the jar is placed where the monkey can see it near the tree.

The curious monkey reaches into the glass jar and grasps the bananna but then finds his hand will no longer pass through the opening while he clings to his prize. The monkey fights to free his hand but will not drop the bananna and is therefore easily captured. This is a fun story - but I don't really think it's true. Monkeys are actually much smarter than this illustration makes them appear. But I wonder how many of us are being trapped in similar ways.

The world is packed full of "trappings" which attract us and keep us from surrendering to Jesus as Lord. We are continually enticed to follow "The Road to Happiness" with promises of pleasure and power; but if we look closely we can see that many times to gain something of the world we tend to loose our true freedom and what Jesus Christ has to offer us.

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15). If we want to find the freedom of true life, we must have a faith which allows us to lose our life to the will of our Lord - we must be willing to let go of our shiny stones. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:17).

The Cross

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:2

Summary: The Lord Jesus suffered on the cross. He died in our place to take away our sins.
The cross is the symbol of the Christian faith. Anyone that sees a cross knows that it stands for the suffering that Jesus of Nazareth went through. Let's read part of the story about what happened. [Read Matthew 27:26-45.]

The Roman soldiers severely whipped, beat and made fun of Jesus before they put him to death. They nailed him to the cross and left him to die. They offered him drugs (vinegar mixed with gall) to kill the pain but he refused. Even from the cross Jesus said "no" to drugs. They took away his clothes and bet to see who would keep them (Psalm 22:18). He was crucified between two thieves. Passersby and the religious leaders said a lot of bad things about Jesus as he hung on the cross. They tried to make others doubt that the things Jesus had said were true.

Did you know that God loves us so much he allowed Jesus to die for us? It was a terrible thing that happened at Golgotha, but God meant it for our good. Some people think it doesn't matter and is silly. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. - 1 Corinthians 1:18

Our Lord took away our sins that day. He took on the sins of the whole world, of everyone that ever has or ever will believe on him by faith. A supernatural darkness covered the whole land for three hours at midday just before Jesus gave up his spirit. The powers of darkness must have thought they had won. But as dawn came on the first day of the week, the tomb was empty and Jesus had risen from the grave. And the world has never been the same.

Let us pray: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for taking away my sins on the cross. Help me to follow you each day. Amen.

God Loves You

John 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers. He walked up to a policeman and said, Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and it's awful cold in there for tonight. Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay." The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "You go down the street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they come out the door you just say John 3:16, and they will let you in." So he did.

He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a lady answered. He looked up and said, "John 3:16 " The lady said, "Come on in, Son." She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went off. The boy sat there for a while and thought to himself: John 3:16 ...I don't understand it, but it sure makes a cold boy warm.
Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry ?" He said, "Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I guess I could stand a little bit of food," The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn't eat any more. Then he thought to himself: John 3:16 ...Boy, I sure don't understand it but it sure makes a hungry boy full. She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm water, and he sat there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he thought to himself: John 3:16... I sure don't understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy clean. You know, I've not had a bath, a real bath, in my whole life. The only bath I ever had was when I stood in front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out.

The lady came in and got him. She took him to a room, tucked him into a big old feather bed, pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned out the lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked out the window at the snow coming down on that cold night,he thought to himself: John 3:16 ...I don't understand it but it sure makes a tired boy rested.

The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to that same big table full of food. After he ate, she took him back to that same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked up a big old Bible. She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face. "Do you understand John 3:16? " she asked gently. He replied, "No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the policeman told me to use it," She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain to him about Jesus. Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave his heart and life to Jesus.

He sat there and thought: John 3:16 -- don't understand it, but it sure makes a lost boy feel safe. You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either, how God was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how Jesus would agree to do such a thing. I don't understand the agony of the Father and every angel in heaven as they watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't understand the intense love for ME that kept Jesus on the cross till the end. I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth living. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Rainbow

Portions for Reading Gen 9:9-17
Have you ever seen a rainbow? Did you ever wonder what a rainbow was made of? It is made of light. In fact, it is made of seven colors of light. It only occurs when it rains. The light of the sun shines through the rain, causing the light to bend (or refract) and reflect off the rain. The rain acts like a prism, splitting the white light into the colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo (deep blue), and violet (purple). They always stay in the same order, because the frequency is from low to high. It always forms an arch. Does this sound like something God made? Yes, it is very orderly and dependable, just like God. Jesus is like the rainbow to us: when God sees us and our sin, he sees us through Jesus, who said I am the light of the world. (John 8:12) God doesn’t see our sin due to the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross.

Summary: God promised to never destroy the earth with water again. He gave us the rainbow as a reminder of his promise. We should keep our promises just as God keeps His promises.

The Bible says that God realized that man would remain sinful, so he decided never to curse the ground for man’s sake, and never to smite every living thing again as he had done with the flood. So God made a promise to never destroy the earth by a flood again. When God makes a promise, he keeps it. As a sign of his promise, he placed the rainbow in the sky whenever it rained.
Have you ever made a promise? Did you keep your promise? With people, we might forget what we promised or break our promise. If you tell someone you are going to do something, you need to keep your word. That is called integrity. A Christian should be able to keep his word of honor.
God’s sign that he would remember his promise was the rainbow.

(John 8:12) God doesn’t see our sin due to the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross.

The Happy Puppy

Theme:
Happiness is not brought about by what happens to us, it is brought about by what happens within us.

Scripture:
Matthew 5:1-12 (The Beatitudes) and Proverbs 16:20 Happy is he who trusts in the Lord. (RSV)

I heard a story about a little puppy that noticed that whenever he was happy, his tail wagged, so the thought he had found the secret to happiness. One day he shared the secret of happiness with an older dog. He said, "I have learned that the best thing for a dog is happiness, and that happiness is in my tail. So I am going to chase my tail; and when I catch it, I shall have happiness!" The old dog replied, "I too, believe that happiness is a marvelous thing for a dog, and that happiness is in my tail. But I have noticed that when I chase it, my tail keeps running away from me; but when I go about my business, it follows me wherever I go."

The Bible has a lot to say about being happy. It doesn't say, "Happy are they who have a lot of money" or "Happy are they who live in big houses and drive fancy cars." It doesn't even say, "Happy are they who only have good things happen to them." What the Bible does say is, "Happy are the merciful, happy are the peacemakers, and happy are the pure in heart." The Bible also says, Happy is he who trusts in the Lord. Many of us are like that little puppy chasing his tail -- trying to find true happiness that is always just out of our reach. What we need to do is learn that if we will just go about our business and trust in the Lord, and happiness will follow us wherever we go.

Dear Lord, help us to place our trust in you so that we may experience the happiness that only you can bring. Amen.

Obey Your Parents

Obey Your Parents
Text:
Exodus 20:12; Ephesians 6:1; Genesis 2:24

Portion For Reading :Gen 22:6-19
Summary: Children are instructed by God to obey their parents.
Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. -
Exodus 20:12

This is the first of God's commandments with a promise. If we honor our parents, God says we will have a long life and it will be well with us. But how do we honor our parents? One way is to obey them.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. - Ephesians 6:1

This is another time in the Bible when God instructs us to obey our parents. Notice that it is plural, saying parents, not just the father or the mother. Whew! What a job! We have to obey not just one parent, but both of them.Have you ever wondered why God gave children such an impossible task? It is because he knows that it is hard for children to do it without asking Jesus to help them. Jesus wants us to pray and talk to him all the time, and this is one of the ways he gets us to do that. And what about the parents? In all the organizations in the world, especially the military, they never give anyone two bosses. They only have one commander, one chain of command. It would be hard for a soldier to follow orders if he had two people telling him what to do.

But Jesus, in his infinite wisdom, put two parents in charge of the kids. He knew they would have to be talking to each other all the time to keep things straight. For example, have you ever asked Mom to let you do something, and she said no. So then you went and asked Dad, hoping he would say yes without talking it over with Mom first? Hmmm? Well, the answer is because Jesus sees parents as if they are one person, not two.

Now to children God says, "...obey your parents...." That means to listen to their directions, seek to understand them; seek to carry out their intent to the best of your ability.

Since the Lord has put parents over children, rebellion against parents is rebellion against the Lord.

*Children should look after their parents when they get old (when they are 60 year old maybe).

* Our parents have done a lot for us because they brought us up and gave us all that we needed.
* So when they get old we should look after them as well.
